In a gesture of goodwill and solidarity, the leadership of Assemblies of God, Ghana, led by General Superintendent Rev. Stephen Wengam, paid a courtesy call on Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman at her office in Accra.
This visit was a momentous occasion, aimed at congratulating the Vice President on her historic ascension to office, praying with her, and engaging in discussions on pressing national issues.
Rev. Wengam expressed his optimism that Professor Opoku-Agyeman’s remarkable achievement would serve as a powerful inspiration, motivating women across the nation to strive for excellence and aim higher.
He commended the Vice President for her impressive track record in academia and leadership, noting that her “solid track record in the fields of academia and leadership” was truly commendable.
During the meeting, Rev. Wengam also offered words of wisdom, urging the presidency to pursue their vision with diligence, integrity, and godliness. This call to action emphasized the importance of moral leadership and responsible governance.
In her response, Vice President Opoku-Agyeman expressed her gratitude for the visit and prayers.
She emphasized the need for greater collaboration between the church and state, highlighting the importance of working together to address the socioeconomic needs of the citizenry. The Vice President also praised Assemblies of God, Ghana, for their significant investments in education and national development.
