Ayinabrimhene appeals for road construction

Nana Afena Ameyaw I, the Chief of Ayinabrem has called on government authorities to come to the aid of the community by constructing their roads.

He made the appeal during the celebration of this year’s yam festival at his palace on Sunday, September 21, 2025. In his address, Nana Afena Ameyaw I, specifically appealed to the District Chief Executive for Techiman North, Hon. Adom Kwabena Johnson, and the Member of Parliament for Techiman North, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, who also serves as Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry.

He urged them to prioritize Ayinabrim’s road network, which he described as a major concern for residents.

“I would like to use this opportunity to appeal to the District Chief Executive for Techiman North, Hon. Adom Kwabena Johnson, and our Member of Parliament, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, to assist in constructing the roads at Ayinabrim.”

He disclosed that, with the support of his traditional council, he has taken initiatives to construct the road network in the community and believes that with government intervention, the road network at Ayinabrim will be completed.

“When I was enstooled as Chief of the community, I reshaped some of the roads, so I plead with the central government through the DCE and MP to help tar the roads to make transportation and commuting easier for the people of Ayinabrim. It is my hope that by next year, this appeal will be granted.” Nana told our reporter.

According to the chief, poor roads remain one of the major setbacks to development in the community, affecting access to markets, schools, and health facilities. He stressed that better roads would open opportunities for farmers to transport their produce, traders to reach customers more easily, and children to attend school without difficulty.

Nana Afena Ameyaw I assured his people of his continued dedication to pursuing development for Ayinabrim, promising to work hand-in-hand with the traditional council and government representatives to achieve tangible results in the coming years.
