Bismark Kwabla Kpobi writes : The Formation of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Team: A Threat to the Outgoing Government

The transition team must be vigilant and watch out for any planned coup attempts by the outgoing government to escape prosecution of corrupt appointees. The five-member ORAL team, tasked with investigating and gathering intelligence on the corrupt practices of outgoing government appointees, has gained significant support from Ghanaians.

Intelligence sources and individuals have revealed that the outgoing government might attempt a coup, utilizing NPP vigilantes in uniform to disrupt the Fourth Republic. This could be orchestrated during the disagreement between the two parties regarding the recollation and declaration of some constituency seats. The actions of the EC boss are a prime example of this.

The planned coup might be championed by NPP vigilantes in uniform, with the support of some senior security personnel. It is crucial that H.E. John Mahama, the NDC leadership, and all stakeholders remain alert and monitor the actions and utterances of the outgoing government.

Professional security personnel must take all necessary steps to halt and abort any coup attempts by the few vigilantes recruited and promoted within the security institutions. It is essential to keep a close eye on the movements, talks, actions, and orders of newly promoted officers.

The special voting results, which showed security services voting massively for the NDC, must not be wasted by a coup. The ORAL team must be allowed to reset the country, confiscate properties, freeze bank accounts, revoke diplomatic passports, and bring back those who have fled the country to account for their actions when JM is sworn into office on January 7th
