Boakye Gjan Is A Coup Plotter, Arrest Him Now…Dr. Agyenim – Boateng Charge Police

The firebrand communication team member of the ruling party, New Patriotic Party ( N.P.P), Dr Nana Yaw Agyenim-Boateng has humbly charge the Ghana Police Service to arrest Major Retired Osahene Boakye Gjan, one of the brains behind the June 4 uprising for making senseless and childish statement on a possible civil war should the Electoral Commission goes ahead with the new voters’ register compilation.

 

 

In an interview with Enfransmedia  Dr Agyenim-Boateng said, per the dictates of the 1992 Constitution, Mr.Boakye Gjan must not be walking a free man because treason is punishable by death.

He said the former coup plotter is ignorant of the electoral process of the country and the call for the compilation of the new voters register started during the era of Dr. Afari Gyan, which was re-echoed by Charlotte Osei because it is bloated and does not fit for its purpose.

Boakye Gjan does not fathom the electoral process of the land. How can he think of a civil war in the midst of compiling a new voters’ register.

He said it is senseless for Boakye Gjan to say that there will be a civil war if the EC goes ahead to compile a new voters’ register. The register is bloated and the country needs a credible one to ensure free and fair in upcoming polls, he chided Boakye Gjan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He said the new voters register already approved by Parliament for the compilation which it believes will be more credible and efficient than the existing one.

He added that the current constitution says if you commit treason is punishable by public execution, it doesn’t matter how long it takes because crime has no time limit, Dr Agyenim-Boateng said.

Indemnified by whom; I didn’t indemnify him and there are a lot of us who never indemnified him from that nonsense civil war statement, especially when you and I have used the same principles to hold other people to account. Boakye Gjan was the main architect of a similar action in 1979 that ” cleaned ” a lot of state officials and private businessmen in Ghana at the time and therefore needs to be dealt with.

 

 

Dr Agyenim-Boateng concluded that Koku Anyidoho was arrested for similar comment and the same must be done to Boakye Gjan. Such statement from people with coup background should not be accept it all due to his coup d’etat antecedents, he chided.
