Breast cancer woman dies days after crying out for help

A 43-year old mother has died of breast cancer, days after her plight gained media attention.

MyNewGhana.net brought the deplorable condition of Agnes Dogbe to public attention in a publication on June 1, 2020.

Her left breast was decaying and her landlord, at Kasoa in the Central region, had been pushing to evict the mother of two. She said getting food to eat was a miracle.

Her husband was nowhere to be found and her siblings had stated clearly they were in no position to support her get medical treatment.

Later, she gained more media attention with JoyNews raising 60,000 cedis for her treatment.

Six days after this money was raised, Agnes, after an agonizing fight, has died.

She died this morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

She left behind two children.
