Budo’s son butchered and had his eyes removed inside his room at Kronum

A tragic piece of information gathered is that an unidentified group of people killed a man in his 30s, removed his eyes, and put them in his tired hands.

Akwasi Tweneboah, also known as Akwasi Budo, is alleged to be Budo’s son. He was murdered on Saturday, the 11th of November, 2023 at around 3:00 a.m. in his room at Kronum Aboahia, which is close to Otumfour Last Stop in the Suame municipality of the Ashanti Region, by unidentified individuals, according to a report.

The untimely demise of Budo, the well-known Kumasi vigilante, who shocked Asanteman in 2004, had a tragic recurrence with his son.

Speaking with Hon. Elvis Nyantakyi, also known as Yes Madam, the assembly member of the area, he said Akwasi Budo is a fine gentleman who lives in the same house with his mother and his three children.

Some locals claim they believe his death was caused by fellow con artists with whom he may have had a falling out.

Even though the investigation was yet to be commerce, the police from the Suame divisional command picked up the deceased body from the house.

Small details about Budo:

Budo is a champion for the downtrodden and a symbol of citizen vigilance in Kumasi, specifically in the neighborhood of Buokrom. He was born Yaw Aboagye, but he became known by a multitude of nicknames such as Budo, Joe Kutani, Ali Joe, and Wofa or Wofa.

To most who knew about him, Budo was immortal. In their minds, there was no way Budo was going to die but on August 31, 2004, they had the shocks of their lives when news broke that Budo had died. According to reports, Budo was killed by his uncle over some land litigation.
