Government Blamed Over The Upsurge Of Fake Recruitment Agencies

The upsurge in the infiltration of unaccredited recruitment agencies in Ghana has a strong link with government’s negligence to resource the Labour Department, Mr. Ferdinand Osei Atuahene- HR Manager for Danerst Employment Agency has indicated.

Ghana Labour Department he averred has been ignored, left in tatters and hirtherto has not been nourished with the resources needed to flash out fake institutions posing themselves as recruitment agencies.

The foregoing gap he asserted has offered a foul advantage to quark individuals to dupe Ghanaians of their hard earned monies on the pretext of offering them employemt opportunities.

“In the name of offering jobs at a charge, they end up defrauding people and this is seriously affecting the reputation of recruitment agencies which have been duly accredited by government” he stated.

Speaking exclusively to this journalist at the hub of No Business as Usual (NBU) when an event dubbed; “CORPORATE MEET-UP 2.0” was in session, he noted that the operations of existing quark job providing agencies is seriousness draining the country of a collosal amount of money since they don’t pay taxes, alerting that the situation will soon witness an exponential rise if government fails to empower the labour department.

Mr. Ferdinand Osei Atuahene in his statement mournfully sighted the bad state of the head office of Ghana Labour Department located in Accra and how most of their logistics are extremely worn-out.

“My brother if you visit Accra where national stadium is located, the head office of Labour Department is close in  location to GRA…If you carefully observe the edifice of these two state-owned institutions, my brother you will weep for the staff of Ghana Labour Department. The state of the edifice unlike that of GRA is so bad that even some of their logistics such as chairs, desks, computers are in a rugged condition” he lamented.

He hit the nail right on its head that the state of affairs portrays how the institution in question has been undermined by authorities. “This is totally a sign of no respect for workers in Ghana” he added.
