The people of Brakwa in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region on Tuesday 30th May 2023 enstooled Nana Osa Fori (III) as the new Chief (Odikro) of Brakwa after years of Unending chieftaincy dispute and litigation between the then Chief, Nana Yamoah and the Asinie Royal Family.
The programe which saw thousands of people including the DCE of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, Honourable Lawrence Adutuah, The former Member of Parliament Honourable Georgina Nkrumah Aboah and other traditional rulers in the central region were delighted and embraced by the entire community because, that’s what they have been yearning for since.
In an interview with Evans Kweku Oboafi Junior (Hardrock) a Journalist, Abusuapanyin Kwabena Ebo who is the head of the Asinie Royal Family indicated how happy the royal family and the people in the community are.
“We have been denied of development for the past years because of chieftaincy dispute, but we thank God that now we have not just enstooled a chief but a listening one as well” Abusuapanyin Ebo expressed.
“We promised our people a chief and at long last we have successfully delivered peacefully”…he adds
“This is exactly what our people were looking for, I am very sure Brakwa is going to change, now we are going to see development as we pray for wisdom and long life for our newly installed chief “Abusuapanyin opined.
In talks with news men, Family head was optimistic to declare that, the prolonged Protracted Chieftaincy has come to an end Therefore, the environment is friendly for Developers and investments.
Abusuapanin Kwabena Ebo in his Assertions Appealed to the Residents of Bremang Brakwa to rally behind the Newly Enstooled Chief so that, the Developmental dreams of the Traditional Council can be materialized.
