The Minister-Designate for the Central Region,Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Aduamoah, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) family for their overwhelming support during his mother’s funeral.
The funeral, which took place on January 28, 2025, at Gomoa Potsin, was attended by a massive crowd of sympathizers.
The NDC family, led by President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, offered words of encouragement and support during this difficult time. The presence of representatives from all 23 constituencies of the NDC in the Central Region was also notable, including the National Executive Body, Central Regional Executives, current and former MPs, former MMDCEs, and government appointees.
Hon. Aduamoah expressed his deep appreciation for the love, donations, and support received from the NDC family, stating that his family was overwhelmed by the massive presence and kind words of encouragement.
He emphasized that the NDC is indeed a family to belong to, and that their kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
The Minister-Designate’s mother, Obaapanyin Abena Kumi Barikisu, was laid to rest on January 28, 2025, at Gomoa Potsin. The funeral was attended by hundreds of mourners, including prominent members of the NDC and other dignitaries.
Hon. Aduamoah’s expression of gratitude is a prove to the strong bonds of unity and solidarity within the NDC family. The party’s commitment to supporting its members during times of need is a hallmark of its values and principles.
Indeed, as minister for the central region,Hon. Aduamoah has pledged to complete stalled projects in the region including the fisheries college in Cape Coast and the Komenda Sugar factory.
