Chainsaw operator crushed to death by falling tree at Baniekrom

A 28-year – old Chainsaw Operator has been crushed to death by a falling tree at Baniekrom in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region.

Body of the deceased identified as Foster Oseikrom has  been retrieved by Police and deposited at a morgue at Kunsu.

The sad incident reportedly occurred on Saturday February 11, 2023.

Speaking to OTEC News Jacob Agyenim Boateng, on Monday February 13,2023, resident at the community, Mr Agyenim Atakora Emmanuel said a 38-year-old man has been arrested by police  in connection with the incident.

He disclosed that, the suspect, Mr Akwasi, a chainsaw operator, alleged fall the tree which killed the deceased who was also working in the same forest.
