Chelsea capable of winning league, Bechem to play Wonders today

Berekum Chelsea’s recent performance in the 5-week old Ghana Premier League indicates they are capable of winning the league for the second time in their existence.

Many analysts and connoisseurs of the game are hopeful the Berekum lads’ performance could propel them to victory in the league.

Boasting of some experience players including returnees Ahmed Adams and striker Kofi Owusu, they look enterprising so far in the league. They are currently leading the log with 13 points from a maximum of 15 points.

Joseph Asare Bediako, coach of Chelsea said “There is no secret to our winning but the determination and discipline of our players. They listen to whatever we tell them and they do it to perfection”.

He added that their target is to win the league.

Chelsea have so far defeated Hearts, Kotoko and Ashgold with solitary goal wins.

Meanwhile, Hearts renaissance continued with an emphatic 2-1 victory over Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Carl Reindolf Park yesterday.

Two late goals from Bernard Arthur and Kofi kordzi is what the Phobians needed to defeat Liberty in a match Hearts dominated in both half’s.

Medeama FC suffered their first defeat in the league to Dreams FC at Dawu, whilst Aduana Stars also beat legon Cities FC 2-0 to climb to second in the league.

Dwarfs are the only side without a point after losing 2-0 to Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

Meanwhile, Bechem United will host Eleven Wonders today at the Bechem Park.
