The moment the news hit the mainstream, it became a shock to many Ghanaians, knowing that we still have people who will choose other things over education.

The youth of Kofitiakrom in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region have rejected and destroyed dual desks donated to a school by the NPP MP of the constituency.

Despite the community’s dire need for desks for students, the youth said what they truly needed was a mobile network in the area and not desks.

They believe that having access to a mobile network is more important for their education and communication needs than anything else. The destruction of the desks highlights the urgent need for improved infrastructure in the community.
