Government has extended the lockdown imposed on Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi by one more week from Monday, April 13, 2020.
In his sixth televised address to the nation, the President said, although the efforts have been successful, the country was not yet out of the woods.
A 14-day restriction was imposed two weeks ago on movements in parts of the country with the aim of controlling the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
The lockdown has been implemented in parts of the country where significant numbers of virus infections have been recorded.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo added that although the lockdown is harsh, it has been critical in beating down Ghana’s Coronavirus case count.
Ghana’s current Coronavirus case stands at 378 as of Thursday, April 9, 2020.
