The Presbyterian Church of Ghana has suspended church services for the next four weeks following directives from the President.
This comes after, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo announced that all public gatherings, including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious activities, such as services in churches and mosques, are to be suspended for the next four (4) weeks.
The President’s directive comes after health authorities Sunday afternoon announced that six cases of the disease have been recorded in the country.
After the address by the President, The official Facebook account for the Presbyterian Church of Ghana posted, ” Following the address at 10 pm of his Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, all Church services in the PCG are suspended for four weeks and all Presbyterian schools are closed down indefinitely. All agents must take note and comply accordingly.
“Meanwhile, let’s all keep calm and continue to pray to the God of heaven until something happens. Jesus is still on the throne. It shall come to pass.”
