Suspected Notorious Armed Robber Gunned Down By Police

A notorious armed robber by name Iddrisu Adams who was involved in series of armed robbery attacks at Tontokrom and it’s environs has been apprehended by the police.

According to the Police, the said armed robber has been on the Police wanted list for sometime now and has finally been arrested based upon intelligence.

Upon interrogation, he mentioned one Okro, Barrier and one other accomplice he claim he doesn’t know his name.

Three pump action guns and 28 AAA cartridges, parcel of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis were found in his room upon search and later lead the police to his accomplices hideout.

In the course of the journey, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle . In the quest of the police to immobilise the suspect,who was trying to escape from lawful custody, fired and the suspect was hit by the bullet and he sustained gun shot wound and died whilst being rushed to hospital for medical attention.

Body of the deceased had since been deposited at St.Martins Hospital, Agroyesum for preservation and autopsy.
Efforts are underway to get his accomplices arrested.
