The tourists also enjoyed cultural performances and sampled local cuisine during their visit to Ghana. The excursion provided a unique opportunity for passengers to immerse themselves in the rich history and vibrant culture of the region.
The Cruise vessel Serenade of the Seas berthed at the Takoradi Harbour on Wednesday 5 June 2024, becoming the biggest tourist vessel to visit Ghana.
The ship has a passenger capacity of 2,490 and 891 crew members. It berthed at approximately 7:00 am and departed at 3:30pm.

This is the fifth tourist vessel to dock at the Takoradi port this year and a few more are expected before the end of the year.
This cruise and most of the cruises are usually organised by Sunseekers Tours, an international travel and tour company.

In April, the Elmina Fishing Harbour also achieved a significant milestone after receiving its first cruise ship dubbed SH Vega.
On board were 106 passengers and nine crew members from various nationalities, including Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, Greece, Russia, and Nigeria.
