Dr. Randy Abbey appointed CEO of COCOBOD

President John Mahama has appointed Dr. Randy Abbey as the acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board.

In a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, it said this in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 12(2) of the Ghana Cocoa Board Act, 1984 (PNDCL 81).

The appointment is pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Board of Ghana Cocoa Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

His appointment takes effect from January 21, 2025.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate you formally on your appointment. Please accept the President’s best wishes,” parts of the letter read.
