DUAPONKO, MECHANIZED BOREHOLE COMMISSION TO SUPPLY POTABLE WATER FOR RESIDENCE

A mechanized borehole for the residents of Duaponko in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti region has been put into service by Pecan Energies Ghana Limited and Buruli Ulcer Victims Aid (BUVAFOUNDATION PROJECT).

Mr. Emmanuel Jackson Agumah, the founder and leader of the Buruli Ulcer Victims Aid (BUVA) foundation and the parliamentary candidate for Afigya Kwabre North NDC, promised to bring the aforementioned community a portable drinking water source because they were sharing it with reared animals like cattle, sheep, and other animals.

About the project, Mr. Aguma explained the rationale and their funding partner’s wish to shield lives from communicable skin conditions.

Thanks to the Pecan GH and BUVA foundation project, some Duaponko residents now have access to clean drinking water, which makes them very happy. They took advantage of the chance to request assistance from the government in the form of good roads and lighting systems, as these amenities would make life there more convenient and economical.

As the Pecan GH and BUVA foundation presented today, Honorable Osmah Aso Lambeth, the assembly member for the Duaponko electoral area, added that the community truly needs social amenities like restrooms, good roads, and portable drinking water.

The community’s lack of social amenities makes Nana Kofi Agyemang, who also serves as Kenyaasehene Sanaahene, and Kwamang hene, the person in charge of Duaponko lands, feel awful.
Nana expressed her gratitude to Pecan GH and Mr. Emmanuel Agumah, the president of BUVA, for their kind actions.
