ECG Under Fire: NDC’s Commander 1 Demands Swift Action on Power Outages In The Country

The Central Regional Deputy Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Mensah Abakah, also known as Commander 1, has expressed deep concern over the recent persistent power outages plaguing the country.

Commander make the pronouncement during a recent community clean-up exercise led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Ms. Margaret Naana Ackom, Commander 1 urged the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to take immediate and decisive action to address the rampant electricity outages in the country.

Describing the situation as “beyond all human expressions,” Commander 1 emphasized that the incessant power outages were not only an inconvenience but also a hindrance to the progress and development of the country crippling businesses.

He cautioned the ECG against any perceived attempts to undermine the government’s efforts, warning that the community would not hesitate to organize a demonstration if the issue persists.

Commander 1 reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to ensuring the country’s progress, citing former President John Mahama’s vision to “reset the country.”

He stressed that the party would not tolerate any institutional obstacles that might impede this vision, and the ECG’s prompt resolution of the power outage issue was imperative.
