This was followed by a shocking disclosure by Toyosi, who later told Ebuka in the post-eviction interview that she was giving her long-time buddy Damilola some space. Stunned, Damilola burst into tears, not only buy Toyosi too.

They had been very close friends for years, sort of sharing something deeper, which, of course, had been tested in Biggie’s house. Pressure of the game and actions of Damilola could have undermined their strategy, according to Toyosi, making her revaluate the dynamics of their friendship.

In the really honest conversation, Toyosi shared that the pressure-cooker situation in the house had started to get to her and she felt that for some time now, a stepping back and reflection period has been necessary to try and get things back in focus.

Clearly distraught, Damilola was having trouble understanding the decision, when Ebuka stepped forward to drop this gem. He motivated the couple to work out their differences, stressing that a seven-year friendship shouldn’t be allowed to drift away so easily.

Will there be a way in which Toyosi and Damilola would be able to reconcile or the limelight has already damaged their relationship beyond repair? Only time will tell as both take a step back to reassess their bond as friends who went to Biggie’s house and their friendship was tested.
