Chief Executive Officer of embattled gold dealership firm, Nana Appiah Mensah has announced that the first batch of customers who recently went through a verification process have received payments of their investment.
Nam 1 who is currently battling charges of fraud amongst others made the announcement on his Instagram page around 4:00pm Friday, December 27, 2019.
“I note with excitement that, the first batch from the first category of the Menzgold payment schedule has been successfully made today; 27th December 2019 by the “third party” appointed,” He wrote.
He also noted in the post how slow the payment schedule has been, which he said was in the face of bank accounts freeze, assets preservation and the huge sum of debts owed his firm overseas.
He assured of commitments to make payments in the weeks ahead with speed.
Menzgold recently released a payment schedule for customers whose investments got locked up after the company became entangled with the Bank of Ghana on regulatory issues.
The company amongst other things was accused by the central bank of operating without proper licencing.
Nana Appiah Mensah known as Nam 1, who doubles as the owner and CEO of Menzgold is also battling it out in court with the state over charges of fraud, money laundering and others, all in relation with the operations of his gold dealership firm.
