Foods That Can Cause Stroke You Should Avoid Eating Excessively

There are some foods which you eat on a regular basis that can lead to stroke which many people around the world do not know about.

According to an article written by Clevelandclinic, I will educate you on some of these foods you need to avoid eating regularly in order to prevent being a victim of stroke.

1. As high blood pressure is a leading cause of stroke, drinking alcohol can significantly increase that risk. Two drinks per day is the maximum for men, and one drink per day is the maximum for women.

As an added bonus, red wine’s protective effects on the heart and brain mean you should drink plenty of it.

2. Even though we all enjoy salty snacks now and again, it’s vital that we keep an eye on our sodium intake.

The American Heart Association reports that the typical American consumes 3,400 milligrams of sodium daily. The American Heart Association suggests keeping your daily intake to 1,500 mg, and lower for those with certain health concerns.

Before making a purchase, check the label to see which products contain the lowest amount of sodium.

3. In particular, eating red meat, butter, and fried foods has been linked to an increased risk of stroke. If you’re looking for healthier alternatives to frying, try baking, broiling, or steaming instead.

Stick to white meats like boneless, skinless chicken when you’re hungry. Beans, peas, lentils, and tofu are great alternatives to meat.
