The Ga West Municipal Educational Directorate has honored HRH King Oyanka I, the Education Emissary of the Montessori Model United Nations-West Africa, with a reading festival. This recognition underscores King Oyanka’s continuous contributions and dedication to educational development both within and outside the municipality.
According to the Directorate, the reading festival, scheduled for July 23, 2024, will foster ingenuity, creativity, and a keen interest in inquiry among students. The festival aims to unearth hidden talents across the schools within the Municipal Assembly and further affirms the diligent efforts of the Director of Education at the Assembly, Mr. Victor Noi Tawiah. This comes after the Assembly’s recent victory in the Greater Accra Girls in ICT competition.
King Oyanka has pledged to leverage his influence and support to drive innovation in the educational sector, driven by his passion for ensuring the next generation attains a global standard. His introduction of the Montessori Model United Nations, with its first training modules set to be piloted in September, is a testament to his commitment. King Oyanka is dedicated to making the reading festival a recurring event with evolving dimensions to continually engage and inspire students.
In a significant development, Nii Djata Adama (Laremy Wade) has been appointed as the Montessori Model United Nations Director for the MMUN Outlet initiative in Ghana, under the supervision of the MMUN West Chapter, headquartered in Ghana.
