Police team investigates missing wife of KNUST lecturer

A team from the national headquarters of the Ghana Police Service as well as the Ashanti Regional Commander and Crime Officer has begun investigations into the disappearance of Rhodaline Amoah-Darko, who worked with the Lands Commission.

Mrs. Amoah-Darko is said to have left her Gyenyase home on Monday, August 30, to Sunyani but has since not returned nor been seen.

According to the police, their attention was brought to the incident on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

In a statement issued on Monday, September 6, the police said their team has spoken to all related parties and found out that the missing went on her mission on her own as “the Lands Commission did not assign Mrs. Rhodaline Amoah-Darko on any official work, neither was she assigned with any colleague to do any work leading to her disappearance.”

The team also found out that “no other staff of the Commission or any other person linked to Mrs. Rhodaline Amoah-Darko has been declared missing or found dead”.

A clinical psychologist has since been engaged to provide psychological support to the family of Mrs. Amoah-Darko, who is said to be the wife of a popular lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The support will also be extended to her colleagues at the Lands Commission.

The statement signed by the Acting Director-General of Public Affairs of the Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori, assured of giving further details on the matter.
