Ghana FA prefers expatriate as new Technical Director

The Ghana Football Association will appoint an expatriate as the new Technical Director of the association barring any last minute hitch, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

The FA prefers to name a foreigner as the new man to steer the technical direction of the association.

The Ghana FA has confirmed that three expatriates and three locals have been shortlisted as the search for Francis Oti Akenteng’s replacement intensifies.

While the identity of the shortlisted coaches has been well kept, GHANAsoccernet.com understands Ghanaian Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah and
coach Bashir Hayford are among the shortlisted applicants.

However, Ghana’s leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com can report that the Executive Council have laid down the marker and shown their preference for an expatriate.

The FA will likely receive the ringing endorsement of Ghanaians if its decide to hire an expatriate for the job.
