Former Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports, and Culture, Joseph Yamin has noted that the Ghana Premier League season must be allowed to continue.
The 2019/2020 football season in the West African country has been suspended for the past 2 months as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
In the past few weeks, there have been divided opinions as to what should happen to the Ghana Premier League season and the other league in the midst of the Covid-19 situation.
Speaking to Space FM today, Joseph Yamin has given his take as he stresses that the league should be continued.
“I don’t see why the league should be canceled. The league must be played irrespective of the fact that other African countries have canceled theirs. Unless someone convinces me as to why the league should be canceled”, the former deputy sports minister said.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) continues to do deliberations on the next line of action and will declare the fate of the football season in 2 weeks’ time.
