The Black Stars of Ghana will face the Pharaohs of Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique in Group B of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Cote d’Ivoire.
The draw which took place in Abidjan on last Thursday 12th October, 2023, pit two African giants against each other.
Egypt, finalists in the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations have won the trophy – a record seven times. The Pharaohs pip the Black Stars 1-0 in 2010 when the two teams faced each other in the final held in Angola.
The 16-team group stage was plotted in Abidjan, with Cote d’Ivoire hosting the continent’s showpiece event from 13 January to 11 February 2023.
The tournament is scheduled for Cote d’Ivoire from 13 January to 11 February 11 2024.
