Ghana Will Print Its Own Money if I Become President” – Cheddar

What can be described as a landmark event that has caught the attention of both national and international observers, Nana Kwame Bediako, the presidential candidate for the New Force party, launched an audacious and transformational raft of policies during his manifesto launch. With an enthusiastic crowd of supporters in attendance, Bediako outlined a new era in Ghana’s history-one that promises to redefine the country’s role on the global stage.

Printing Ghana’s Own Currency

Among his striking proposals, Bediato promised that he would grant Ghana independence in monetary affairs by printing the country’s own currency. He said this would surely guarantee economic independence and ensure Ghana’s financial sovereignty. Bediato meant that this would release Ghana from foreign financial system strangleholds and give the country self-determination in its economic affairs.

A Borderless Africa for Trade and Investment

Contrarily, Bediato wants a borderless continent where trade and investment will be allowed to flow freely. He then called for the unification of Africa as one entity, adding that the move would not only increase intra-African trade but also make the continent a very strong economic force in the world. His vision for a united Africa aspires to be a collaborative, innovative, and prosperous endeavor shared by all African nations.

SSNIT reorganization into the National Insurance Fund

He stated that in so far as an attempt was being made at restructuring SSNIT into a National Insurance Fund, he would ensure that contributors are allowed to access their contributions at any time under his administration, a redesigned policy that creates flexibility in raising financial security and instilling confidence in the system.

A National Sovereign Wealth Fund Creation

Bediato also promised the establishment of the National Sovereign Wealth Fund to take the place of the International Monetary Fund in shock-absorbing the country’s finances.

He said he would end Ghana’s reliance on external borrowing, especially from the IMF, replacing it with the National Sovereign Wealth Fund to turn that into a sustainable option. The latter would be targeted at investment in the vital sectors of the economy, something which would mean guaranteeing long-term financial stability and growth without resort to foreign debts.

A New Era of Financial Independence

Nana Kwame Bediato’s manifesto has introduced a new strand into the forthcoming election. He pledged that it is only when a nation is created characterized by financial and economic independence that all citizens will indeed be free.

Indeed, his proposals reflect a commitment not just to transform Ghana, but to unite Africa as a powerful economic bloc. As the election draws closer, the electorate will have to consider these ambitious plans and return a verdict on whether Bediato’s vision fits into their aspiration for the future of Ghana and the continent.

The manifesto launch is a significant moment in Ghana’s political landscape as Bediato cements his positioning of being a candidate of change ready to take the country into a new era of prosperity and unity.
