Ghanaians react to Kenny Rogers’ death

The world has been thrown into further state of sorrow and melancholy with the passing of a man many tout as the greatest country musician of all time.

Kenny Rogers, the legendary American singer passed on this morning in what a family representative described as “peacefully at home from natural causes”.

The Gambler, Lucille and Coward Of The County are three of the most popular songs of the legendary singer whose career spanned over six decades.

He is the 10th best-selling male artist in US history in terms of album sales.

He collaborated with other country music legends during his career, including Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.

Some Ghanaians who for decades enjoyed his works have been paying tribute to him on social media.

Then somewhere in the darkness, the gambler, he broke even. And in his final words I found an Ace that I could keep – Rest In Peace Kenny Rogers . Your music was the soundtrack of my childhood.
