Girlfriend of ‘King Promise’ arrested for smuggling Tramadol into a Police cell

The Goaso Police have arrested a lady purported to be the girlfriend of a certain King Promise after she tried smuggling Tramadol concealed inside Kenkey to the boyfriend who has been arrested in connection with a crime, MyNewsGh.com reports

Suspect Hannah Tawiah visited her boyfriend Kwaku Ebenezer alias King Promise who was in police custody and brought food including kenkey and bread to be given to him.

When the food was inspected by the officers on duty at the time, it was detected that the suspect concealed two sachets of tramadol tablet in the food and when she was confronted she took to her heels but was arrested

“I came to visit King Promise with some other boys who asked me to deliver the food to King Promise. I know all of them because they come from Kyeikrom. I swear by God I did not know that they concealed the tramadol in the food”, she feigned innocence.

According to her, she had no idea the other boys planned setting her up with the drug in the food and begged the police to temper justice with mercy as she is only a victim of circumstance.

Police who confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com revealed that she would be arraigned before court for the offence after investigations.
