GOVERNMENT SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO THE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK SYSTEM (ECG)

By: Nana Kwaku Ofori Atta (CEO of AVCONTECH SECURITY MASTERS).

I am calling on Government to take the ongoing crisis involving ECG where citizens are unable to purchase hydroelectric power with their prepaid cards.

Many citizens have been in total darkness for days, not to talk of the various street lights which have been off for months and those that have their bulbs damaged.

Let us not forget that as a nation, hydroelectric power serves as the back bone of our economy and for that matter lack of it affects productivity in our industrialization sector.

The distribution sector of our hydroelectric power is the major problem ECG is facing currently and we are hence pleading on government to look into our power distribution system to solve the ongoing crisis hitting our hydroelectric power distribution.

Without hydroelectric power, nothing moves efficiently as a nation.

Again looking at the high cost of fuel and diesel, many companies can not afford to purchase fuel to supply their generators to continue production.

I am pleading with government to put in measures in place immediately to resolve this issue.

Lack of hydroelectric power also on the other hand serves as a threat to our security considering the various crimes that could be committed under the cover of darkness across the country.

Please help make the work of our security services easier.

I have officially suggested to government through the Ministry of Energy, a company ( Blackstone Private Equity limited ) that deals in the distribution of hydroelectric power and i believe that the ministry will engage them as soon as possible without any difficulty.
