GPRTU Slated 11th May, As Regional Elections

The Greater Accra Ghana Private Road Transport Union, has slated 11th May, as their regional election to elect their new executive into office.

Speaking with the communications director of the GPRTU, Alhaji Abass Imoro, said all is set to conduct the regional election on May this year has been slated.

According to him, per the constitutional required that every four years there should be fresh election to elect new executive into office and failure to do so is a breach of constitution and for that matter the said officer would be set aside without fear or favour.

He said the election will be conducted by the electoral commission of Ghana so no officer can manipulate the electoral process.

The election is going to be free and fair during and after the election without rigging.

He was optimistic that looking at the competency of the aspirants he has no doubt in mind that the election will be violence free.

The GPRTU wishes to officially extend it warmly gratitude for all aspirants and urged them that who ever emerged winner must be respected as such.
