Gushegu: Service rifle stolen from a policeman sleeping on duty

Information available to MyNewsGh.com indicates that a service rifle has been stolen from the armed guard at the Gushegu Charge office in the Gushegu District of the Northern Region

According to our source, the rifle with 20 rounds of ammunition was handed over to Corporal Gideon Dagadu to perform night guard duty at the Charge office.

However, in the course of his duty, Corporal Gideon Dagadu reported to the Station Officer Chief Inspector Nkrumah Boateng that his weapon was stolen by two masked men in front of the Charge office.

This he said happened when he decided to relax on a bench while on duty.

The issue is currently under investigation.
