Hearts lose, Kotoko win on Day One of Ghana Premier League

Visiting Berekum Chelsea defeated Accra Hearts of Oak by a lone goal in their clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Day One of the Ghana Premier League 2019/2020 season, sending supporters of Hearts baying for the head of their head coach, Kim Grant.

The Hearts fans may have started the rancorous protestations, but the home defeat follows a loss to bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in the President’s Cup which the fans thinks are bitter pills to swallow in a new season.

In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko pipped visiting Techiman Eleven Wonders by a lone goal, while visiting Medeama SC proved too much of a match for Mysterious Dwarfs in Cape Coast.
