It was 12 minutes past 1:00 am at UG SRC week “pent” concert and fans were still in the rain, waiting for Shatta Wale’s performance. They reacted as if, they have been eagerly in anticipation for his songs and presence for a considerable period.
These are university students waiting for an artist tagged ‘uncouth and illiterate’ to come and rock the stage before they leave. At exactly 1:52 am at dawn, there was a fan uproar that Shatta Wale was coming to the stage, and the atmosphere changed.
Fans were charged up, and the chanting began, ‘Wale eeh 5x, Wale eeh eeh, emaa emaa ma‘. The Shatta Movement slogan continued as they waited for the King of Dancehall to mount the stage.

In another video speculating on Twitter street, Shatta Wale was seen being guided by Soldjeirs, and bodyguards to the stage, and the whole place was already in a ‘freezing zone’.
With his epic entrance, he entered the stage with ‘Starboy’, followed by ‘Pah Pah Pah’, ‘Like My Thing‘ respectively and many other songs he performed.
The most incredible part is when Shatta Wale stops singing and lets the audience carry on, singing word for word with an uncontrollably wild intensity that only Shatta Wale can elicit from his followers.
There is no doubt about it—he is liked. Only social media have a bad say about him but he give off his best on the stage and fans really like to see him perform than any artist in Ghana.
Shatta Wale’s ability to command the stage and engage his audience is truly unparalleled, solidifying his status as one of the most captivating performers in Ghana.
Despite any negative criticism on all socials, his live performances speak for themselves, drawing in fans with an undeniable energy, which is no two ways about that, and the passion that sets him apart from other artists.
