A lightning incident that occurred in Ho late Monday afternoon has killed one person and left two other persons injured.

The deceased has been identified as Emmanuel Torli, 17, who sold coconut on a pavement opposite the office of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Volta regional capital.

Two other female victims have since been rushed to a hospital by the ambulance service.

As of the time this report is being filed, the body of the deceased is still laying at the scene.

The incident has since sparked wild debates across the region as residents attempt to link it to a long held superstition.
