Hollard Ghana partners Porials Pitch to insure young entrepreneurs

Hollard Ghana, a leading insurance company, has partnered with Porials Pitch to provide insurance cover for over 150 vendors and organisers at a youth vendor fair held over the weekend.

The collaboration, which took place at the second edition of the Porials Pitch Fair, was aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs with tailored insurance protection, ensuring they can build sustainable ventures with peace of mind. The event was founded by social media influencer and content creator, Dulcie Afriyie Boateng, and has become a flagship platform for young innovators and business owners.

As part of its support, Hollard Ghana offered a full-year policy of its Asomdwee MSME insurance to all participating vendors. This customised insurance product shields small businesses from operational risks and unexpected disruptions, enabling entrepreneurs to concentrate on scaling their ventures.

In addition to vendor protection, Hollard provided Public Liability Insurance to the organisers of the event. This extended coverage helped to secure the entire event space, providing safety and assurance for vendors, visitors, and staff alike.

“We were delighted to be part of Porials Pitch II, supporting young entrepreneurs as they take bold steps toward their dreams,” said Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo, Group Head of Marketing, Corporate Affairs and Customer Experience at Hollard Ghana. “At Hollard, we believe in treating everyone with care and dignity, and this initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering a supportive ecosystem for small businesses.”

Porials founder, Dulcie Afriyie Boateng, praised the insurance firm for championing the cause of youth entrepreneurship. “It was amazing to see a company like Hollard Ghana stepping up to support young entrepreneurs. Their commitment to providing insurance coverage for vendors not only offered peace of mind but also empowered us to focus on what we do best—innovating and creating,” she said. “I’m thrilled to have partnered with Hollard for an event that champions the next generation of business leaders.”

Hollard Ghana also used the event to introduce its mobile-first microinsurance product, MeBanbɔ, to the youthful crowd. Designed to cater to the needs of young people, MeBanbɔ offers affordable funeral and disability coverage ranging from GHS 1,000 to GHS 30,000, with monthly premiums starting as low as GHS 2. The product is accessible via USSD code *269# on MTN and Telecel, offering an easy and flexible way for young Ghanaians to access protection.

With this partnership, Hollard Ghana continues to demonstrate its commitment to driving inclusion, innovation, and economic resilience among Ghana’s youth and small business community.
