HON. DUKER CUTS SOD FOR BENSO ASTROTURF PROJECT; HANDS OVER NEW SCHOOL BLOCK TO MAHAMO COMMUNITY

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the Member of Parliament for the good people of Tarkwa Nsuaem constituency and the Deputy minister for Lands and Natural resources in-charge of Mines, Honourable George Mireku Duker engaged the good people of Mahamo in his constituency.

In the meeting, he donated streetlights and electric poles to the community and handed over a new 6-unit classroom block with toilet and urinal facilities to the community for use.

This was a request he has delivered in less than a year.

Later on Thursday, the honourable member together with the Chiefs and good people of Benso, the traditional capital of Wassa-Fiase, cut sod for the construction of an ultra-modern Astroturf for Benso and its environs to unearth sporting talents towards socio-economic development.

When completed in October 2024, it will become the 6th Astroturf constructed by the MP since 2017 in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency coupled with the US$16 million reconstructed TNA Sports Stadium, he facilitated.

With all these developmental projects and initiatives, Tarkwa-Nsuaem has now become a key haven for Sports Infrastructure & Development in Ghana.
