HOT VIDEO: Don’t Visit Us At Night Again – Chief Tells Mahama In The Face

The Omanhene of the Lower Dixcove Traditional Area in the Ahanta West Constituency of the Western Region, A stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic party (NPP), Nana Kwasi Agyemang IX has told former President John Dramani Mahama and his entourage, to stop visiting his community at night, during the election campaign period.

The Paramount Chief was unhappy most of the visits John Dramani Mahama has paid to his palace are always in the night.

Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX was speaking, when he welcomed John Dramani Mahama at Dixcove on October 22, 2020.

John Dramani Mahama and his entourage, even though were scheduled to be at the community earlier, they arrived there at around 7pm in the evening. Speaking on behalf of the three paramount chiefs in the area, Nana Kwesi Agyeman expressed his dissatisfaction at the late arrival of the Vice President.

The angry Paramount Chief noted that:

“The chief and all the people here want you know that, anytime you decide to come back to this community, it should never be at the night again. You should come at daylight so that everybody here will see your face.

This is not the first time, all the time you have visited, you come at only in the night and when it happens like that, we are unable to give you the needed welcome. Regional Chairman, when next he comes here please let him come in the day, so that we can organize a proper durbar to welcome him”. Nana Kwesi Agyemang IX told John Mahama right in the face.

In a response, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama apologized to the chiefs for his constant late arrivals. He added that, such incident will not be repeated in his next visit.

The Ahanta West Constituency has been a stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party, until 2012 when they lost the parliamentary seat to the NDC.

However, the NPP bounced back in 2016 and won the seat again with a voting margin of over fifteen thousand votes.
