“Fellow Ghanaians, I come into your homes this evening” is President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s usual greeting before he commences his updates to the country on measures taken against the spread of coronavirus.
This line has been used in all six national addresses by the president so far and most likely might not be missing from the seventh one scheduled for 9 pm this evening.
Nonetheless, using the “Fellow Ghanaians” hashtag, some Twitter users though not aware of what message the president’s address will contain, are already in anticipation of either an extension of the partial lockdown or a total lockdown.
Some, using the same hashtag have complained about how fed up they already are with the lockdown.
“Boys taya with this fellow Ghanaians lockdown matter,” a twitter user wrote.
“By tomorrow or Saturday de3 ‘fellow Ghanaians all I need is another 2 weeks’ be3 su,” Another wrote.
“Fellow Ghanaians. Total Lockdown Soon,” a tweet read.
“The President will come out and say “My Fellow Ghanaians, I’m sorry to say this but we are staying home for the next 1 week,” Another expressed.
Using the #FellowGhanaians, another tweep also expressed disappointment over how the government rendered hundreds of people homeless at the height of the coronavirus pandemic with the demolition at old Fadama.
“In this COVID-19 lockdown NPP government is busily rendering people who already cannot feed themselves homeless. Is this not pure wickedness my fellow Ghanaians? I’m weeping here because this is unfair. Think about it now,” A tweep wrote

On Sunday, The President will come out and say”My Fellow Ghanaians, I’m sorry to say this but we are staying home for the next 1 week”.
I agree with Bukom Banku, some Ghanaians are not seeing their fellow Ghanaians on full display at the hospitals fighting for their lives so they feel it’s far from us. Faces could be blurred and still showed to us maybe then some will start thinking. But Does it have to get there?
In this COVID-19 lock down npp government is busily rendering people who already cannot feed themselves homeless.

Fellow Ghanaians, I have ordered for the arrest of an Ewe girl rumored to be a former Botwe boy who is causing noise pollution in the sowutuom erea. I’m told her name is Fella Makafui so anyone with vital information should contact the Ghana police service. Thank you. #NoSize
