I am prepared to battle Stonebwoy tooth and nail in court – Baba Sadiq

Ghanaian industry keeper and businessman Baba Sadiq says he is ready to battle it out in court with Ghana’s afro-beat singer, Stonebwoy.

The Ghanaian politician and businessman Sadiq is prepared to take Stone on in court after their recent altercation regarding Stonebwoy and Sadiq entering the mainstream and Stone claiming that he had threatened him.

Speaking on 3FM, Baba Sadiq revealed that the conflict emerged from his public endorsement of Afrobeat star King Promise over Stonebwoy for the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year accolade.

According to Baba Sadiq, a tweet expressing his support for King Promise sparked backlash from Stonebwoy’s fans. He explained, “It all began with a tweet saying, ‘Keep excelling, my King, my AOTY,’ accompanied by a repost of King Promise’s performance in Canada. This elicited negative reactions from fans.”

The situation escalated when a fan accused Baba Sadiq of being indebted to Stonebwoy, prompting a response from Baba Sadiq himself.

Matters took a serious turn when Stonebwoy allegedly made an unwelcome call to Baba Sadiq’s wife, followed by social media attacks on her by some of Stonebwoy’s fans.

Baba Sadiq interpreted these actions as a deliberate effort to involve his wife in the dispute, leading him to take legal action against Stonebwoy.

He remarked, “After addressing the debt accusation involving Stonebwoy, he phoned my wife, and I was displeased with the conversation. Later, seeing a tweet from one of his fans targeting my wife made me suspect it was orchestrated to draw her into the conflict.”
