I Can’t Deceive You – Nana

PRESIDENT NANA Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the work he has done so far proves that he merits another four-year term.

According to him, he has been able to fulfill most of his 2016 campaign promises to help better the lives of the people, so he has proven to be a trustworthy leader.

“I am not a con man, because I have been able to carry out most of my campaign promises that I made prior to the 2016 elections,” the President stated at Boankra in the Ashanti Region when he cut sod for the inland port to commence.

He added that “My positive and incredible records in political office are ample proof that I am not a con man, therefore, I have every right to ask for another political term.”

President Akufo-Addo cautioned the electorate to watch out against “con men” who would give juicy campaign promises they cannot fulfill just to secure votes, emphasising that “You should be careful about politicians that would give juicy promises that they themselves know they cannot fulfill just to win undeserved votes during the December 7 polls.”

“I gave a lot of promises that some people kicked against, but in just four years in political office, I have been able to fulfill most of the promises so I am not a con man,” he said.

The President said he deserved to be maintained in political office to do more and added that he won the 2016 presidential elections with his campaign promises, coupled with the incompetent leadership style by former President John Mahama.

In election 2020, he said he would campaign for more votes with his positive track record in political office, which has helped to accelerate national transformation so far.

“In 2016 I sought for your votes with promises of what I intended to do for the country, but after four years in political office, I am campaigning with my achievements.”

President Akufo-Addo said he had clearly shamed his detractors who continually said he could not introduce the free Senior High School (SHS) and other major policies in four years.

Sounding very confident, he said he still has more to offer to increase the development chalked in all sectors of the state.

The President also entreated the electorates to vote for all the 275 NPP parliamentary candidates to enable the party to control Parliament to make key governance for the benefit of the country.
