Majority Leader in Parliment and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has said, he will not hesitate to accept invitation to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in future as running-mate or in any capacity.
“If they see the need and ask me to do so, I will. Every police officer dreams to become IGP one-day so if the opportunity presents itself for me, so be it”, the Suame lawmaker confirmed on Opemsuo FM morning show during exclusive interview with host, George Opoku Mensah Agudey.
Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who spoke on a range of issues stressed the need to maintain experienced and long serving Members of Parliment (MPs) in the august House.
The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs therefore pointed out that, if experienced people are maintained in Parliment, it will serve as a check to the Executive and strengthen powers of the President and also enhance Ghana’s democracy in totality.

Hon. Osei-kyei-Mensah revealed that after 2024, he will bow out from Parliament, after serving for 24 years, for new a face to represent the Suame Constituency .
