I Will Do A Perfect Job, Trust Me- EC Boss Jean Mensa Begs

Executive of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana Jean Adukwei Mensa has said her outfit is spotless and Ghanaians can confide in them to make an ideal showing during the 2020 surveys. As per IMANI Ghana chief, Franklin Cudjoe, EC’s ongoing acquirement process for the determination of merchants for the Biometric Voter Management Solution (BVMS) is laden with abnormalities, asserting that Commission was going to pay for increasingly in opposition to the prior position that cash would be spared.

Be that as it may, Jean Mensa said the obtainment procedure was above board, having experienced the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) and the Central Tender Review Committee (CTRC) for the endorsement of the Commission’s offering procedure.

“All the four organizations shortlisted showed their specialized capacities straightforwardly and that the seller with the serious cost was chosen for the structure of the server farm just as the stockpile of biometric materials, including that the believability of the political decision is their primary center”, she said.

“The EC would be sparing not over GH¢173 million on another register contrasted with repairing or redesigning the BVMS provided by STL,” she included.

As per Jean Mensa, about $74,364,500 was mentioned by the seller for restoring the old BVMS provided as against obtaining new BVMS for 2020 at a complete expense of $56,000,000, sparing $18,364,500 or GH¢104,677,650.

The Commission is setting out on the assemblage of the new register from April 18 to May 30.

“All the four organizations shortlisted showed their specialized capacities transparently and that the seller with the serious cost was chosen for the structure of the server farm just as the inventory of biometric materials, including that the believability of the political decision is their principle center”, she said.

In any case, the powers against the new register drove by the primary resistance National Democratic Congress (NDC) demand that the old register is their most logical option for the political decision 2020—anything less is fate for the nation.
