I’ll Defeat Mahama in the 2024 elections- Ken Agyapong tell Delegates

Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),Mr Kennedy Agyapong, has disclosed that he will undoubtedly beat the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)H.E John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming 2024 General elections if he is elected to lead the party.

The Assin Central legislator indicated, the citizenry are yearning for an honest,bold and straightforward leader like himself to break the 8year jinx of election 2024.

“I will beat Mahama hands down, no doubt about it. everywhere what Ghanains are expecting is an honest and bold leader,” he told journalists after casting his ballot in the ongoing flagbearer elections of the NPP on Saturday, November 4.

The much-anticipated election of a presidential candidate for the incumbent is currently under way at 277 polling centres across the divides of the country.

It is estimated that Over 200,000 delegates are expected to cast their ballots in the exercise which is expected to halt at 3:00pm.

The contestants include; Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and former MP for Mampong Francis Addai-Nimoh.

One of the front runners, Kennedy Agyapong who is said to have cast his ballot earlier,indicates he is readily ready to give his unflinching support to whoever emerge victorious the poll.

He made this comments shortly after voting at the Pentecost Worship Center at Assin Fosu.

“I have psyched myself for whatever the outcome will be. Even if I lose, I will still support the winner to break the 8,” he promised.

Earlier on November 2, 2023, the four presidential aspirants were made to sign an undertaking not to bout from the party if the outcome of the November 4 poll does not favour any of the aspirants.

They signed the memorandum of fathoming at a meeting with the National Council of Elders in Accra.

“We were able to get all the four aspirants to sign an undertaking and in summary, they are to accept the primary results, and promote peace and cohesion,” the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Koduah told the press.
