Stonebwoy, the Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artist, has reiterated his stance on winning the 2019 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year title, despite its never being officially announced.
In a recent interview on ‘The Portfolio’ podcast, he expressed unwavering confidence in his accomplishments and his claim to the title.
Stonebwoy emphasized his repeated assertions about the award and his acceptance of it, stating, “I’ve openly declared it multiple times, and I’ll continue to do so until anyone doubts it otherwise.
“I have boldly spoken about the three times, and I will continue to speak up until anyone doubts to speak otherwise.
“I have accepted that it is three times already, and I’m gladly rallying it around, giving a lot of credit and placing importance on the Ghana Music Awards. So, as for that one, I’m confident about it. I’m not dragging it with them,” he said.
I’m fully confident in my achievements and the recognition from the Ghana Music Awards.”
He questioned the need for additional proof, highlighting that key figures like Kwame Sefa Kayi and DJ Black are aware of the situation.
Stonebwoy stressed that it’s up to those who challenge his claim to provide evidence. He also invited anyone with competing claims to step forward and make their case publicly.
