Barcelona President Joan Laporta wants to give Real Madrid a “showdown.” Laporta is angry over RFEF and is demanding a replay of the EL Classico game with Madrid. He is determined to compete with Madrid at the highest level.
Laporta believes that a fair play caused his Barcelona side and is therefore appealing to the popular court to replay the game. The rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid has always been beyond just football, and they are known to have a lot of heated battles.
The El Clasico showdown during the weekend wasn’t another free one, as there was so much that happened, leaving Joan Laporta furious over decisions.
The Barcelona president is now looking to take everything possible to ensure the game they lost will be checked out.
He was mainly focused on the Lamine Yamal goal, which wasn’t counted by the referee, as that would have been decisive for them not to lose the match.
Reports from Fabrizio Romano
Here Is What Was Said:
“We asked the RFEF to provide us with all the images and audios of Lamine’s cancelled goal”.
“If it was a legal goal, we do not rule out asking to re-play the match”.
“We will go further, we do not rule out anything”.
Those at Barcelona believed they were robbed off a goal which could have changed the whole situation against Real Madrid.
Joan Laporta is taking the case very serious as they could be some things being done to confirm all his claim if they are good enough.
