Jojo Wollacott wins goalkeeper of the season award in England

Black Stars goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott has been named the best goalkeeper in the English fourth-tier league this season.

Wollacott, who helped Ghana qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, was also included in the EFL League Two team of the season.

Since joining Swindon Town from Bristol City last summer, the 25-year-old has made 46 appearances in all competitions and kept 11 clean sheets.

His impressive performances for Swindon earned him his first international call-up, representing Ghana at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Wollacott could end the season with two awards, as he has been nominated for Player of the Year by Swindon Town.

Wollacott has regularly offered his attacking teammates the opportunity to go and win games with excellent saves and an assured presence between the sticks.

Swindon Town will be keen to tie him down to a new contract with his deal running out in the summer at the end of the season.
