Kotoko CEO reveals huge demands blocked signing of Anim Cudjoe

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, says the management of winger, Mathew Anim Cudjoe, demanded 250000 US dollars for his resigning.

Management of the Porcupine Warriors, led by Nana Yaw Amponsah, attempted to sign the Legon Cities attacker on a permanent deal after a successful season-long loan, but negotiations broke down.

He disclosed Kotoko couldn’t meet the amount quoted by his manager, Samuel Anim Addo, and he, eventually, joined Legon Cities on a season loan after returning to parent club, Young Apostles.

“His team and managers were demanding 250000 USD from us as transfer fee and we could not cough that amount,” Amponsah said on Oyerepa FM.

“That is the reason we went in for Fabio Gama as a replacement. I told Samuel Anim Addo that was huge. He wasn’t ready to come down.

“His [Fabio Gama] work permit was the only challenge, but that has been sorted,” the Brazilian midfielder is yet to feature in any game for Kotoko since his signing back in October.
