Commercial Manager of Asante Kotoko, Eric Amoako Twum has revealed that the club will soon sign a partnership deal with StarTimes to be able to stream kotoko games to the outside world.
He made this revelation during a live studio interview with OTEC FM’S Royal sports.
“Streaming live games in this era are very important and possible because of technology. It’s our plan to sign an agreement with StarTimes to give opportunities for those outside Ghana to watch our matches on their phones, laptops etc” Amoako Twum told Kumasi based OTEC FM on Wednesday September 23, 2020
“That in effect will also create an avenue to generate some revenue for the team and the partners.
” We will first engage the GFA for a possible approval since the television rights has been sold to StarTimes” He told the programme’s Host, Osei Akoto Kanu
The exclusive media rights to all GFA organized competitions were sold to StarTimes in January 2020 for five years in a deal worth $5.45m USD.
